Autism Questions.
This is about an article titled “My Son is a Monster with Autism”. I have posted only a little bit of it, the rest can be seen here:

“By the age of four, Luke was attending pre-school. Fortunately for him there were a couple of lovely ladies who understood his behaviour and helped him relax. Even so, he put up a fight about going every single day.
One day I had bought him a new coat from M&S with a lovely orange quilted lining. Shopping with Luke has always been a no-no - he is over-stimulated at every aisle - so clothes still have to be bought without him and he usually doesn’t like them because he didn’t choose them.
I was determined he would wear it and he was equally determined that he wouldn’t. We had a huge battle of wills and I eventually got him into the coat before he did his usual runner.
As I was getting Abbi quickly bundled into her coat to chase him, I realised he had stopped outside the front door. He had pulled off his new coat and was stamping on it in the mud.
He then proceeded to pee all over the lovely orange lining.
I can still remember the rage I felt at his behaviour - and that was a defining moment for me in realising that we needed help, and that whatever was driving his behaviour needed a name.”

The part about the coat (the boy probably hated the colour) was kind of weird to me because it was a spiteful thing to do, to pee on it.
But I don’t understand spite. I don’t understand why people will do things out of spite. It is pointless, to me.
Another question I have: A baby or young child can be immunised, have a bad reaction or get brain damage in another way. Then as they are growing up, they receive the autism diagnosis.
If an adult is in an accident or contracts encephalitis or something like that, then afterwards shows autism traits, can they be diagnosed autistic?
