I feel like an idiot….

I have been reading various bits of information about blogging. I realise I have a long way to go. I just read that Blogroll is where you post links to other places. I feel like an idiot because I have been putting stuff there without knowing what it’s for.

If I could take some sort of class in learning how to make a better blog or learn what plugins and widgets are (as I have NO idea) I think I would make some sort of improvement. Just putting some pictures up is a great achievement for me!

On to other things: I’m sick. Got some weird contagious (although no-one else has it - just me) skin condition going on. I broke out in blisters on my face and hands. It started on my hands first. I must have touched something and got it that way. I diagnosed myself with impetigo and I was right. Now I have antibiotics and some cream to put on five times a day.

The antibiotics are hard to deal with as I must take them half an hour before food or two hours after food. And since I eat bits and pieces all day…

This morning I got up and thought to take a pill, so I did. But then I wanted to eat straight away as that’s what I do when I wake up. So I got annoyed at myself and went back to bed for half an hour and read some of my book.

I do take Dexamphetamine but that’s easy because I take them and have something to eat at the same time. Then I don’t get a nauseous feeling like I do when I take them on an empty stomach (I hate that feeling). And all my other meds I just take in the morning with the exception of Lamictal which I take before bed.

GA bought all my meds the day before yesterday for me and it came to a total of $134. So now I know what I work for…

Widgets and plugins are things you add to make your blog do extra things like listing your most recent comments or posts.

Right now there is only one user controlled plugin installed on Autiblogger, but I am taking requests for other ones. When I have time, I will add some more. I am also taking requests for widgets. Some plugins are installed for all users and do not need to be activated.

To activate user plugins, click on the ‘Plugins’ tab at the top of your administration section.

There are a bunch of widgets installed. Most themes are widget ready including yours. Widgets go in your sidebar.

To add widgets to your sidebar, click on the ‘Presentation’ tab in your admin section. In the new row of tabs that appears, there will be one called ‘Sidebar Widgets’. Click on that and then drag the widgets you want from the bottom box into the top box. You can also remove widgets that way. Don’t forget to click ‘Save’ to make the changes take effect on your blog.

I hope you feel better soon!
